Project Objective

The research will help to determine the role of vasopressin (AVP) in the regulation of the peripheral chemoreceptor reflex and whether there are changes in the regulation of the respiratory system by vasopressin in conditions of arterial hypertension.

It will also help to determine the role of vasopressin in the increased activity of the arterial chemoreceptor reflex in arterial hypertension and expand the knowledge of mediators and receptors involved in chemotransduction in carotid bodies chemoreceptors.
