What we do
The Medical University of Warsaw carries out activities aiming to obtain funds from national and international resources, as well as EU funds. After co-financing is awarded, the University’s personnel take care of the administrative and financial aspects of the project implementation, providing support for the scientific and didactic staff.
We implement scientific, research and didactic projects. This website also includes information on the evaluation of the scientific activity, insurance of scientific experiments and patents.

MUW’s activity within project financing:
- acquisition of co-financing as part of programmes financed from national and international resources as well as EU funds
- support during preparation of applications for project co-financing, except for applications regarding programmes operated by the Department of International Relations, Department of Science, Center for Preclinical Research and Technology (CePT), MUW Technology Transfer Center and Medical Simulation Center;
- verification of the project applications submitted in terms of their formal correctness as well as conformity with the MUW development strategy;
- acquisition of funds from external sources dedicated to the implementation of scientific (research and development) and didactic programmes, as well as programmes related to the MUW’s internationalization process;
- cooperation with external (public, private, national and foreign) institutions regarding acquisition of funds for project implementation;
- monitoring of the evaluation process of the submitted applications for co-financing, as well as providing information to the Initiator and the University Governance on the current stage of their examination;
- preparation of contracts for research services ordered by external national and international entities;
