System of support for people with cognitive disorders in home environment and outside home

The main goal of the project is to increase the quality of care in the course of dementia diseases, which, in combination with ICT technical solutions proposed by other partners, will enable the creation of practical solutions in the care of people with dementia.

Main results/products of the project:

Thanks to the use of modern ICT technologies in the form of an ICT platform, it is planned to achieve the following results:

- improvement of the functioning of people in the early stages of dementia in their own home and local environment by supporting memory and other cognitive functions as well as reducing social isolation;

- improvement of safety at home and in the outdoor environment by, for example, preventing and detecting falls, using alarm systems, stimulating the correct rhythm of sleep and wakefulness;

- enabling communication with the outside world and active involvement in the life of people with physical limitations;

- reducing the care burden and the stress level in caregivers of people with cognitive impairment in the course of dementia;

- increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of professional care for people with dementia by improving communication between formal and informal caregivers and care coordination.
