SCIENCE FOR SOCIETY – CALL OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION

The subject matter of the call is to support HEIs as well as other organisational entities acting for the promotion of science in the implementation of projects aiming at building cooperation between scientific entities and social and economic entities.

Projects in the following areas can be funded under the Programme:

1. “Scientific Excellence” – to support projects whose aim is to:

a. increase the quality and innovation of scientific research (frontier research), in particular through identification of new research problems which are key to the social and economic development as well as take up pioneer research studies in this regard,

b. internationalise Polish science and increase the recognition of its achievements,

c. develop and implement the concept of scientific and didactic staff development,

d. increase the quality of academic didactics,

e. shape and implement evaluation mechanisms initiating the pro-quality changes process,

f. identify the incentives and gauges for the development of Polish science,

g. shape the social perception of Polish science;

2. “Science for Innovation” – to support projects whose aim is to:

a. improve the effectiveness of cooperation between science and economic environment,

b. support innovation processes and commercialization of scientific research and developmental studies outcome as well as the know-how related to that outcome, including promotion of good practices related to innovation,

c. promote knowledge on the relationship between science, innovation and economy.

Due to the limited number of applications to be submitted (a maximum of 4 applications per calendar year), the persons interested in applying in this call should immediately contact the Project Support Department.
