Project Objective

Purpose and expected results: Detailed research objectives. The main aim of the study is to determine the dependence of the composition of breast milk on the diet and body composition of breastfeeding women. Due to the main goal of the work, the research problem will include the following specific goals: 1. Assessment of the nutrition of breastfeeding women, taking into account changes during lactation. 2. Assessment of the nutritional status of breastfeeding women, taking into account changes during lactation, on the basis of: • measurement of basic anthropometric features and indicators, • analysis of body composition using the electrical bioimpedance method. 3. Assessment of the influence of diet on the nutritional status of breastfeeding women. 4. Assessment of the relationship between the energy value and the content of basic components of breast milk (fat, protein, carbohydrates) and the diet and body composition of breastfeeding women. 5. Assessment of changes in the body composition of breastfeeding women during breastfeeding, with particular emphasis on: • hydration status, • adipose tissue distribution (visceral and subcutaneous fat). 6. Assessment of the relationship between the diet and body composition of breastfeeding women and the concentration of fatty acids in the blood serum. 7. Assessment of the relationship between the content of fatty acids in breast milk and the concentration of fatty acids in the blood serum of lactating women.
