BMKGENE is pleased to invite applications for the 2026 Spatial Transcriptomics Excellence Award. This program is intended to support research projects applying spatial transcriptomics approaches across clinical, animal, and plant sciences.
The total equivalent total of €150,000 in funding will be allocated to 13 selected projects (22 samples in total). Awarded projects will receive full support for an end-to-end spatial transcriptomics workflow, including tissue processing, library preparation, high-throughput sequencing, and downstream bioinformatics analysis. The call coincides with the recent upgrade of BMKGENE’s European Spatial Laboratory in Münster.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be based at research institutions in Europe.
Samples must be shipped from within Europe.
