“Searching for novel strategies improving cancer immunotherapy (STIMUNO)”

The main goal of the project is to search for new pathways involved in the regulation of the anti-cancer immune response. Since the tumor's immunosuppressive microenvironment is a key barrier that reduces the effectiveness of immunotherapy, Dr. Winiarska's team is particularly interested in studying previously unknown metabolic changes that affect the escape of cancer cells from immune surveillance.
