Week with Clusters: Cluster 1 – Health: 30 May 2022

As part of the spring cycle of events under the common title “Horizon Europe’s Week with Clusters”, the Polish National Contact Point organizes a webinar regarding Cluster 1 Health. The on-line meeting will be held on Monday, 30 May at 10:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

During the meeting, experts will introduce the Mission on Cancer and the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI).

The missions in the Horizon Europe Programme are a new and innovative form of cooperation with the aim to improve the quality of human life in Europe and beyond it. The main objective of the Mission on Cancer is to improve the quality of lives of more than 3 million people trough actions in the five areas of intervention:

• better understanding of cancer
• better prevention, screening and early detection
• new or improved diagnostics and treatment
• obtaining the best possible quality of the lives of patients and their families

IHI (Innovative Health Initiative) is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the European Union and the European life science industries (such as: pharmaceutical, medical technologies, biotechnology, digital health sectors). IHI has a total budget of 2.4 billion euro jointly founded by the EU and by industry associations representing Europe’s life science industries.

During the meeting, both initiatives will be discussed in more detail, as well as a closer look will be taken at the subjects of the contests for 2022.
