National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) - LIDER XIII CALL

The goal of the LIDER Programme is to support the development of scientific staff, in particular by means of financing programmes addressed to young scientists within the meaning of Article 360 Paragraph 2 of the Act on science and higher education, aiming at improving the competences within independent planning, management and leadership of a research team, by means of implementation of research projects (such as applied and development research), whose results may have practical application and have implementation potential.

 

1. The Programme is addressed to persons who:

  1. are doctoral students or academic teachers – and do not have the doctoral degree or have the doctoral degree earned not earlier than 7 years ago (this period does not include the maternity leave periods or periods of leave on the conditions of a maternity leave, paternal leave, parental leave or childrearing leave, granted according to the rules set forth in the Labour Code Act of 26 June 1974, or periods of claiming maternity benefit or parental benefit or periods of claiming sickness benefit or rehabilitation benefit related to one’s inability to work, including but not limited to, that caused by an illness requiring medical rehabilitation, as mentioned in the Act on financial benefits from the social insurance in case of illness and maternity dated 25 June 1999, as well as the Act on family benefits dated 28 November 2003) and are employed in the entity mentioned in Article 7 Paragraph 1 of the Act on science and higher education,
  2. are authors of publications in reputable scientific journals or have patents or implementations,
  3. so far have not participated in the LIDER programme as project managers,
  4. will obtain for cooperation a scientific entity which has a seat in Poland and which will employ a project manager or members of the research team created by him or her,
  5. have a Polish citizenship or Polish residence card or are EU citizens who are staying on the territory of the Republic of Poland for a period longer than 3 months, and their stay is registered.

The Applicant applies for the programme together with an Entity.

2. The goal of LIDER Programme is to support the development of scientific staff, in particular by means of financing programmes addressed to young scientists within the meaning of Article 360 Paragraph 2 of the Act on science and higher education, aiming at improving the competences within independent planning, management and leading a research team, by means of implementation of research projects (such as applied and development research), whose results may have practical application and have implementation potential.

3. Financing: The maximum amount of the project financing is PLN 1.5 m.

4. Call schedule

  • Date of call announcement: 29 March 2022
  • Call opens for applications on: 23 May 2022.
  • Call closes for applications on: 30 June 2022 at 4:15 p.m.

5. The internal MUW deadline for making a notice of one’s intention to take part in the call (awn@wum.edu.pl) expires on 23 May 2022.

The deadline for sending applications for verification (awn@wum.edu.pl) expires on 6 June 2022.
