The objective of the Programme is to strengthen the didactic potential of the HEIs providing education in medical professions, i.e. physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, midwives, laboratory diagnosticians, physiotherapists and paramedics. MEDYK NAWA enables the afore-mentioned HEIs the possibility to invite the representatives of medical professions who are licensed to practise the above professions and who have the necessary competencies to educate students in entities providing medical education as lecturers and academic teachers. The programme will allow for increasing international cooperation in the broadly understood field of medical science by sharing the latest knowledge and best practices used in the education of physicians, nurses and paramedics.

HEIs can submit applications in the programme, and the researchers they invite must meet the following requirements:

  • they must be licensed (in the country of current employment) to practise as a physician, dentist, pharmacist, nurse, midwife, laboratory diagnostician, physiotherapist and paramedic;
  • they are currently working in the above-mentioned profession abroad, or are teaching in a foreign HEI;
  • they speak Polish or English fluently in contacts with patients and students;
  • within 12 months prior to submitting the Application, they did not reside and were not employed in Poland.

The employing institution, on the other hand undertakes to:

  • employ the researcher under an employment contract for at least ½ working time for the entire duration of the project;
  • entrust the researcher with assignments, i.e. teaching classes and providing the necessary conditions;
  • provide administrative and organizational support.

The Project may last between 10 and 24 months.

The call for applications will be carried out in two rounds:

  • from 15 November 2021 to 14 January 2022 at 3 p.m. local time (Warsaw)
  • from 1 March to 30 June 2022 at 3 p.m. local time (Warsaw) or until the funds allocated for the programme are expired.

Pursuant to the decision of the University Governance, all applications shall require:

  • a written approval (e.g. e-mail) of the Head of the Hospital Department/Entity for the project initiator’s conducting the project in the Department,
  • a written approval (e.g. e-mail) of the Hospital Director for project implementation:

a) for applications which provide for conducting the project in the MUW’s hospital base,

b) for applications which provide for sharing of the medical data by the Hospital.

NOTE:  You should send to the address of the MUW Project Support Department information about the intention to prepare an application:

  • ROUND 1 - by 15 December 2021
  • ROUND 2 - by 31 May 2022

The Project can begin: for applications submitted in the first round – no earlier than on 1 March 2022 and no later than on 1 October 2022;
for applications submitted in the second round – no earlier than on 1 October 2022 and no later than on 31 December 2022.
